pressure o pressure

"you have wasted 3 yrs and so much money. don't be willful and say no to whatever i'm asking you! don't waste another 3 yrs, doing another stupid degree! at least, take pity on your dad. think of the amount of money he has been spending on you."

ouucch. those last two lines- they hit right to the very center of my heart.
sigh.........................................................................................................
adding salt to the wound, my dad said in one of those tired, heart-broken tone

"obey your mom for once. you know, daddy cannot afford to support you if you take the wrong course and had to take another one again."

quadruple ouuuucccch.

once the phone was transferred, my mom resumed with her lashing again. she blabber on what my blabbermouth aunt blabber to her about her kid's job. to the HELL with all those talk about her daughter's salary, position and whatever her-boss-pampers-her-so-much nonsense talk. really. why cant she do me a favour and stop adding fuel to the fire?
i know, i know. you meant well, didnt you aunt? but you see, what's good for your daughter may not be good for me especially with my character, values and all. we are just different. besides, a few nights ago i already made my final decision to take economics and management after i found out about the "dark sides" of accounting and finance.

sigh. anyway, the conversation ended with an ultimatum that i, by the end of this week, apply for degree in accounting and finance only (yes, that's right. i'm not even allowed to think of others). to make it like they reaally mean it, they took the liberty of purchasing an air ticket home on sunday so that i will not delay my application anymore (i always drag on things they said!). if i do not apply by the end of this week, then only God knows HOW and WHEN i can get into the damn school.

and oh since i'm at this already, i might as well write somemore.

dearest family,

last wednesday, i had to wake up at 10am (which is way too early for me, considering my usual 2pm) and made an islandwide trip to get YOUR stuff. it was raining very heavily with wind that could almost blow me away had i not gain a few kg this holiday. it was storming out there! my damn wretchedly wet umbrella didnt shield that much of me. i had to stop by at a youngster-and-teens-only shopping mall because the wind blew so much rain water on me that half of my shorts were wet! i strolled inside for 15 minutes and then i thought "what the hell. i should just be going."

i only took a few steps with my umbrella ready when a damn strong wind suddenly blew my umbrella up. before i even finished muttering damn, i heard some girls at my back giggling indiscreetly. really. those girls simply made my day.

ah well, on the second thought i suppose it couldnt have been any worser.

anyway....the good news is that my dearest family, i have COMPLETED your shopping lists. well, i hope there arent any new items because i am running out of fund, time, energy and sanity.
